Pop superstar Taylor Swift made her podcast debut in style by announcing new album The Life of a Showgirl on Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce’s New Heights podcast.
Swift, who has been a regular at Chiefs games during her relationship with Kelce, used the show to reveal her 12th album.
“I wanted to show you something,” Swift told co-host Jason Kelce, a former NFL center who is Travis’s brother and spent his entire career with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Brandishing a record from a briefcase, Swift then confided: “This is my new album – The Life of a Showgirl.”

Taylor Swift: New Heights reveals New Album
The podcast initially teased an appearance by Swift with a silhouette of the 35-year-old as part of a promotional post for the latest episode.
“Such a nice color on you,” Swift is shown telling Kelce while complimenting him on his choice of blue hoodie.
“It’s the color of your eyes, sweetie,” Kelce said. “It’s why we match so well.”
Swift smiled and replied: “We’re about to do a ******* podcast.”

The Life of a Showgirl crashes Taylor Swift website
Swift’s website, which is offering the album for pre-order on cassette, vinyl and CD, is said to have crashed after the announcement was made.
The official NFL social media account responded to the podcast promotion with emojis suggesting curiosity about the then-mystery announcement.
“Had some adventures this off-season,” Kelce said in an Instagram post featuring Swift on July 24. “Kept it 100%.”
The Chiefs’ account replied: “Things we love to see: Travis happy.”

The full episode will be released here on Wednesday, August 13 at 19:00 ET, which is 16:00 PT and midnight on Thursday in the UK.
The podcast will mark its third anniversary in September, and the Kelces signed a deal with Amazon for more than $100 million in 2024.
New episodes are released every Wednesday. Recent guests have included actors Adam Sandler and Brad Pitt and musician Zac Brown.
Travis Kelce: Kansas City Chiefs 2025 season
The Chiefs continue their pre-season preparations by visiting the Seattle Seahawks on Friday (22:00 ET / 19:00 PT / 03:00 BST on Saturday).
They then host the Chicago Bears on August 22 (20:20 ET / 17:20 PT / 01:20 BST on August 23) before starting their NFL season at the Los Angeles Chargers on September 5 (20:00 ET / 17:00 PT / 01:00 BST on September 6).
Kelce’s team lost the 2025 Super Bowl 40-22 to the Eagles in February, having beaten the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 to become champions a year earlier. Swift watched both games in person.
