Nottingham Forest have agreed a deal to sign James McAtee from Manchester City for up to £30m, according to reports.

Forest, who will play in the Europa League this term, are also thought to be closing in on a deal for Ipswich Town’s Omari Hutchinson – another of Lee Carsley’s squad – for around £37m.
McAtee made made 34 first-team appearances for City, 27 of which came last season. He scored seven goals for Pep Guardiola’s side, including a hat-trick in the FA Cup Third Round against Salford City, and has had two loan spells at Sheffield United.
Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo, who led the club to a seventh-placed finish last season, has spent £44m so far this summer, bringing in winger Dan Ndoye and striker Igor Jesus.
The contract of Morgan Gibbs-White has also been extended, after the club accused Tottenham Hotspur of making an illegal approach for the midfielder, while Anthony Elanga has joined Newcastle for £55m.
