Tottenham defender Destiny Udogie has a knee injury which could make him a doubt for the start of the new Premier League season.
The Italian left-back missed Spurs’ friendly against Luton on Saturday after picking up the problem in the warm-up, and then did not travel with the rest of the squad to Hong Kong for the week-long pre-season tour of Asia.
Spurs face Champions League winners Paris St Germain in the Super Cup on 13 August 13 before taking on promoted Burnley in their league opener.
Udogie looks set to miss out while new signing Kota Takai has suffered a foot injury.
However striker Dominic Solanke could play in the pre-season north London derby against Arsenal on Thursday.
“Dom is looking much better, progressing,” Frank said. “We will see if it is too early for Arsenal, but we are positive about him.
“Madders (James Maddison) is looking better and better, could also be too early for Arsenal, again, we will see. Rodri (Rodrigo Bentancur) is back from illness, so that’s good.
“We have a good and long pre-season so we can push the players, we are aware how we want to train, we need to be aligned on how we want to play and train.
“There are gym sessions, recovery and the ability to compete in all tournaments. We are aware and we will make a few adjustments so we can compete.”
‘Of course we are looking’
Tottenham missed out on signing Morgan Gibbs-White – who has now signed a new contract at Nottingham Forest – but remain in the market for more options.
Frank would not be drawn on what happened with Gibbs-White but says he wants to strengthen.
“We of course are out there in the market and we’re aware where we maybe want to strengthen the squad in general.” he said.
“I’m happy with the squad and we’ve already done a top signing in Mohammed Kudus that is coming in and showing us his quality already. We’ve got a squad where there is a lot of talent in and quality but of course we’re looking.”
