Manchester City have signed a £1billion deal with kit manufacturers Puma.
The German brand already make City’s kits but the new 10-year contract extension will continue that arrangement until 2035 and is worth a reported £100m a year.
That makes it the biggest in the Premier League, more than the £90m-a-year deal agreed between Adidas and Manchester United and significantly greater than the £60m-a-year contract that Liverpool are reported to have negotiated, again with Adidas.

We have enjoyed many historic moments together – Soriano
City Football Group (CFG) chief executive Ferran Soriano said: “We joined forces with Puma with the ambition to challenge ourselves and go beyond the expectations. We have achieved this and more over the last six seasons.
“Puma have seamlessly integrated into our organisation, and we have enjoyed many historic moments together, engaging fans globally.”
Puma chief executive Arthur Hoeld added: “Puma’s partnership with Manchester City has been a great success both on and off the pitch.
“Trophies, a perfect stage for our performance products and commercial success were exceptional.”
Show of faith from Puma
It is a remarkable display of faith in City by Puma with the club still awaiting the findings of the independent investigation into 115 alleged breaches of financial fair play regulations that could carry significant sanctions.
It also comes after a season in which City ended empty-handed. Pep Guardiola’s men could only manage third place in the Premier League and crashed out of the Champions League to Real Madrid in the play-offs.
